Week One, All Done
Today was the last day of my son's first week of school. He really seems to enjoy it. He is not in a typical first grade class, but a multi-age class. He goes to school with first, second and third grade kids. It sounded like a good program, so we signed him up for it.
Our kids are also signed up for soccer. Although I don't fit into the mold of a "soccer mom", it is fun to let them get out and act crazy. It helps cut down on the in-house ya-ya.... At least a little bit. 
I still have to deal with the monstrous guilt of knowing that I have downstairs neighbors who must daily listen to the thunder of my kids playing above their heads. The kids have gotten better, and I dare say, we even have better neighbors than we used to- but it still makes me wince to wonder what that must be like.
Then again, I have to climb up 4 flights of stairs on commissary day, and they don't.... so to hell with em.
